Alison DurnavichSenior Counsel
As the granddaughter of a Wildcatter, Alison was born and raised in the oil and gas town of Farmington, New Mexico. After graduating from Virginia Tech, Alison moved to Denver to attend Sturm College of Law at the University of Denver. Upon receiving her JD in 2003, Alison worked at a nonprofit organization where she practiced in the areas of natural resources and public land use law.
Since joining the firm in 2005, Alison’s practice focuses primarily on drafting drilling and division order title opinions for large operators in the Denver-Julesberg Basin. In addition, Alison advises clients on title curative issues and due diligence matters, as well as represents oil and gas operators in Determination of Heirship proceedings.
In addition to the State of Colorado, Alison is admitted to practice in front of the Ninth and Tenth Circuit Courts of Appeals.
