Patrick Schmidt
AssociatePatrick joined Carleton Gotlin Law in 2013 with a primary focus on upstream oil and gas operations, including complex drilling and division order title opinions, drafting and review of related operational agreements, due diligence projects, curative title work, and Determination of Heirship proceedings. Prior to joining the firm, Patrick operated businesses and counseled clients across the country, from automotive dealerships in Florida to international manufacturing companies in Oregon. The benefit of this diverse background is a unique and personal perspective when it comes to addressing and resolving clients’ needs. Patrick has experience in contract negotiation, drafting and enforcement, as well as real estate transactions.
Patrick received his undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and obtained his JD from Lewis & Clark Law School where he graduated with honors and a certificate in Natural Resource Law. He is currently licensed to practice in Michigan and Colorado.
In his free time, Patrick is a car enthusiast and enjoys mountain biking, trail running, and introducing his children to the great outdoors.
